Previous event: An Evening of Christmas Music with the Jigsaw Sound Choir

7.30 - 9.15pm - Saturday 10th December 2022, Holy Trinity Buildwas, Buildwas Road, Buildwas TF8 7DA

www.facebook.com/buildwaschurch

We celebrated Christmas with songs performed by the Jigsaw Sound Choir, who entertained us with music from many different genres, including light sacred to show tunes, and classical to contemporary music.

The evening started with mulled wine and mince pies. We had to move the event to Buildwas Village Hall, as Buildwas Church was too cold!

This event raised funds for The Sea Change Trust (a charity which offers specialist therapeutic support to babies, children, young people and adults), Buildwas Holy Trinity Church general funds and The Buildwas Church 300 Restoration Fund: www.buildwaschurchrestoration.org

Previous event: Love Your Burial Ground Day

2 - 5pm Saturday 10th September 2022, Holy Trinity Buildwas, Buildwas Road, Buildwas TF8 7DA

www.facebook.com/buildwaschurch

This was a family-friendly drop-in event organised by Caring for God's Acre (CfGA). We released moths, learned how to identify wildflowers and the folklore around them; handled mammals; met a slowworm; and children's activities, including making insects and flower impressions out of clay.

Previous event: Buildwas Churchyard Work Party including Composting Demonstration

10am - 4pm Saturday 11th June 2022, Holy Trinity Buildwas, Buildwas Road, Buildwas TF8 7DA

www.facebook.com/buildwaschurch

Thanks to everyone who came to help tidy up our church and churchyard! We needed to cut back the nettles and brambles; weed around graves; and remove ivy from church walls to prevent stone damage.

Did you know that use of a home compost bin diverts approximately 150kg of waste from landfill each year? During the day, Masters Composters from Garden Organic were on hand to demonstrate our new compost bins in Buildwas churchyard and explain how to create and maintain a compost bin in your own garden - as home composting provides fantastic, rich compost to use in your own garden. Our compost will be used to help grow vegetables in our Village Community Garden in the centre of the village.

Previous event: Buildwas Village Fete

A big thanks to everyone who entered our Flower Arranging, Best Dressed Welly and Colouring competitions at the 2019 Buildwas Fete! Well done to the winners! These were some of the entries.
